A collectible vintage treasure, this beautiful 70s gown is by American designer ‘Judy Hornby’
for Neiman Marcus, highly coveted among vintage fashionistas out there!

The Neiman Marcus label was founded by Carrie Marcus Neiman and Al Neiman, along with Mrs. Neiman's brother, Herbert Marcus, in 1907.

The first store was in downtown Dallas, Texas and from the beginning the goal of the trio was to establish a store in which customer service was unsurpassed. "It's never a good sale for Neiman Marcus," Herbert Marcus said, "unless it's a good buy for the customer."

In 1925, Neiman Marcus became THE luxury department store – first of its kind - starting the tradition of having in-house fashion shows, established the Neiman Marcus Award for Excellance in Fashion and started the very famous Neiman Marcus catalogue which was and is always a much-awaited event, with lots of press coverage.

This one-of-a-kind designer latino-inspired party dress is a silk chiffon in peach with ribbed sheer ‘mutton of lamb’ sleeves, boasting that puff shoulder and tapering to the cuff.

So unusual and very feminine with its square neckline and gathered flamenco style hemline revealing a layer of underlining over another layer of fabric, accented by a stitched floral appliqué to the left.

The floral and leaf motif throughout this gown are in shades of hot pink, tangerine, teal and green –a fab Summer combination. The sleeves are finished with a single button closure
